Shah Rukh Khan was recently admitted to a hospital in Ahmedabad after he reportedly suffered from heatstroke and dehydration in the city while cheering for his IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders in a match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Now SRK’s Dil Se co-star Malaika Arora has reacted to his hospitalisation.
When Malaika was asked about the recent hospitalisation of Shah Rukh Khan due to dehydration, the actress told Instant Bollywood, “That’s why I am saying you have to protect your environment. That’s the only way the environment will love you back. But of course, you can’t really do much.”
She added, “Stay hydrated, drink loads of water, wear cool, comfortable cotton clothes, use sunscreen, try carrying an umbrella. These are my tips!”
While SRK was still in the hospital on Wednesday, his Darr co-star and business partner Juhi Chawla had given his health update. She told News18, “Shah Rukh was not feeling too well last night, but he is being attended to and was feeling much better this evening. God willing, he will soon be up and in the stands on the weekend, cheering the team, as we play the finals.”
A day after SRK was hospitalised, his manager Pooja Dadlani released a statement on social media giving an update on his health. She wrote, “To all of Mr Khan’s fans and well wishers – he is doing well. Thank you for your love, prayers and concern ????.”
While the actor is now doing well, he was kept under observation for about a day before he was given a discharge on Thursday evening. The star was seen returning to Mumbai along with his wife Gauri Khan. The couple was spotted exiting the private airport at Kalina on Thursday night. Their daughter Suhana Khan, son AbRam and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda accompanied them.
On the work front SRK was last seen in Atlee’s Jawaan. He also did a cameo in Salman Khan’s Tiger 3. While he has not officially announced his next film, he is expected to feature in The King with Suhana. The film, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, is currently in pre-production and is targeting a 2025 big screen release.
