Slovakia vs Ukraine live updates: Euro 2024 match team news ...
The sweet, sweet, work-from-home three-matches-a-day portion of the Euros.
Truly, these are halcyon days.

It's great to have you with us - stick around for the whole day (or as much as you can) and The Athletic will bring you coverage of every match with its own dedicated live blog. Not bad, eh?
Romania’s history in the European Championship is not a storied one as this will be just their sixth appearance at the tournament.
And in only one of their previous five appearances have they made it out of their group; reaching the quarter-final where they were beaten 2-0 by eventual finalists Italy in 2000.

Until 1991, players from Ukraine would represent the Soviet Union national team on the international football stage. So Euro 1996 was the first that Ukraine were able to qualify from as an independent FIFA member.
It was not until 2012 that they played at a European Championship, though, and that was because they co-hosted that tournament with Poland. They have made a habit of qualifying since then, and this will be their fourth consecutive appearance.
They made it into the knockouts at Euro 2020, only just qualifying as one of the best third-place teams and then made it past Sweden after extra time in the Round of 16. That led them to a quarter-final meeting with England where they were heavily beaten 4-0 in Rome.

This is only the third match to be played in Group E.
In the first round of group stage fixtures, Romania beat Ukraine 3-0 and Belgium beat Slovakia 1-0.
Today sees Slovakia play Ukraine in Frankfurt before Belgium take on Romania in Cologne.
A win for either Slovakia or Romania would be enough to send them through, while a draw would likely do it, too.
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of today’s European Championship between Slovakia and Ukraine.
Slovakia could secure progression to the knockout stages of the tournament with a win today. They very impressively saw off Group E favourites Belgium on Monday, with Slavia Prague forward Ivan Schranz scoring the only goal of the game.
Ukraine, on the other hand, are already in a precarious position following their very disappointing — and surprising — 3-0 defeat by Romania. They desperately need to avoid defeat today.
If they’re unable to, their tournament will be over in just four days (though they'll still have to play their final group match as a sad dead rubber).
