The first game began on an even note before Crasto, a Paris 2024 Olympian, and Kapila picked up momentum to win six points on the trot and make it 10-4. Liao Chao Pang and Lin Yu-Hao mounted a comeback to reduce the deficit but the Indian pair held onto their lead to win the first set 21-17.
