India’s emerging talent will be on display at the Taipei Open 2024 badminton tournament, scheduled to be held from September 3-8 in Chinese Taipei.

The Taipei Open 2024, a BWF Super 300 tournament, will be available on live streaming and telecast in India.

Badminton stars PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen and the doubles duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have opted to skip the tournament. India will have no representation in the men’s doubles event at Taipei Open.

Paris 2024 Olympian Tanisha Crasto will team up with Dhruv Kapila for the mixed doubles event. She returns on the BWF Tour for the first time since featuring at the Paris 2024 Olympics in the women’s doubles with Ashwini Ponnappa.

Kiran George, 37th in the badminton rankings, will be India’s top-ranked shuttler in the men’s singles event in the absence of Olympians HS Prannoy and Lakshya Sen. World No. 39 Aakarshi Kashyap will be the top-ranked Indian badminton player in women’s singles.

World No. 45 pair Rutaparna Panda and Swetaparna Panda will be the only Indian women’s doubles pair at the Taipei Open this week.

Live streaming of the Taipei Open 2024 badminton matches on September 7 and 8 will be on JioCinema in India. The Taipei Open 2024 tournament will be telecast live on the Sports18 1 and Sports18 1 HD TV channels in India.
