The Portuguese seem perfectly happy to let Turkey have the ball at the moment because the Turks don't look threatening in the slightest.
Portugal have bigger tests to come at this tournament and they look like they could go far.
63' Turkey 0-3 Portugal
Presuming Portugal see out this victory, they will have won more games in 90 minutes at Euro 2024 than they did during the entirety of their victorious Euro 2016 campaign.

Neves with a lovely through ball that finds Ronaldo in acres of space. Astonishingly, an utterly selfless Ronaldo squares the ball to his former Manchester United teammate to tap the ball into an empty net.
Ronaldo timed his run to perfection but Turkey have defended very poorly here.
That is surely that.
54' Turkey 0-2 Portugal
Yazici, on for Kokcu, tries his luck from range but it's easily saved by Costa.
They need to make something happen and fast.
50' Turkey 0-2 Portugal
Those changes haven't affected things much, Portugal still with a level of complete control The Clash would be proud of.
They look more likely to make it 3-0 than concede any time soon.

The second half is underway in Dortmund.
Palhinha and Leao were both on yellow cards, which may explain with their withdrawal.

Changes at half-time for both teams: Pedro Neto and Ruben Neves are coming on for Portugal, replacing Joao Paulinha and Rafael Leao. While for Turkey, Kokcu is hooked in favour of Yusuf Yazici.

Just the five players shown a yellow card in that first half; four of them came in the last six minutes before half-time.
Rafael Leao and Abdulkerim Bardakci's cautions mean they will miss the final group-stage match.
The other players on yellow cards going into the second half are: Samet Akaydin, Mehmet Zeki Celik and Joao Palhinha.

It’s been a great start to Euro 2024. There have been some outstanding individual performances, notably from Jamal Musiala, Fabian Ruiz and Jude Bellingham, but the star of the show so far? Some guy called Own Goal.
Four of the opening 42 goals of the tournament have been scored by the lad (and he’s had one taken back) — that’s a 10 per cent ratio any player would be proud of. It is already the most of any European Championship, bar the 2021 event, which had 11 by the end.
And he has just notched a fifth with that Samet Akaydin back-pass sliding into Turkey's net against Portugal. Check out our man Tim Spiers' piece celebrating the bizarre phenomenon below.

Almost the biggest noise of the game comes from the Turkish fans as they whistle and boo the officials as they go off for half-time.
No major decisions have gone against them, but they have got a couple of bookings for fouls that looked more like robust, ball-winning challenges.

Palinha booked for a foul at the end of the half and becomes the fifth man to end up in the referee's book.
Just a minute of added time and Portugal will be very happy with that half. It's all going to plan thus far.
The 41-year-old Pepe has been magnificent and Mendes is finding a lot of joy on that left hand side, combining well with Leao.
Own goals could end up winning the golden boot at this tournament.

He's having a bit of a Woodgate here, booked for a hard challenge on Leao having already scored an own goal.
Celik gets one too, for speaking out of turn (and not being the captain).
41' Turkey 0-2 Portugal
Some decent passing in the middle of the pitch from Turkey but the shot from Kokcu is comfortably saved at the near post.

37' Turkey 0-2 Portugal
Excellent reading of the play from Pepe to cut out that Akturkoglu cut-back. Akturkoglu once again got behind Cancelo who can't decide whether he's a full-back or a No 10 today.
36' Turkey 0-2 Portugal
Ronaldo has scored all four previous times he's played at this stadium and you would have banked on him finding the back of the net there once he cut inside.
It was 18 yards out but the shot was always rising.

34' Turkey 0-2 Portugal
Portugal happy to sit back and conserve energy, they haven't looked in any real danger and those two goals in seven minutes have put them in a commanding position in both the game and group.
30' Turkey 0-2 Portugal
So much to enjoy about that goal, chiefly the fact Ronaldo missed it because he didn't get a pass.
