Nandez looked to be in serious pain after taking Welch's cleats to his ankle.

Valverde drills a shot from well outside the box that fizzes through traffic and just wide of the far post.
If you saw Valverde's goal against Manchester City in this past season's Champions League, you know the Real Madrid man can hit some sweet strikes.

Two minutes later, it's Rodriguez again, forcing a diving save from Rochet at the near post!
Having watched Uruguay completely dominate the first half, the shift in this game has been dramatic.
56' Uruguay 1-0 Panama
Another chance in quick succession for Panama, this time of their own creation. Miller rises highest to win a header at the back post but fails to direct his effort on target.

53' Uruguay 1-0 Panama
Panama are gifted a huge opportunity as Uruguay's defense makes a mess of dealing with a long ball from the goalkeeper.
Fajardo collects the ball on the edge of the box and is isolated against one defender. He goes for power over placement with his shot and completely misses the target.

Panama won't get many more free chances like that one, if any.

We're back in action in Miami Gardens!
Panama were waiting on the field for several moments before Uruguay eventually reemerged from the tunnel. This has become a recurring theme at this Copa America.

Maxi Araújo's goal in the 16th minute was the first that Uruguay have scored from outside the box at Copa America since Luis Suarez did so all the way back in 2011, ending a 13-year streak without such a goal at the tournament.

A first half that saw chance after chance for Uruguay ends with them only one goal to the good.

39' Uruguay 1-0 Panama
This as close to a 1-0 battering as you are likely to see. Uruguay have had 12 shots in less than 40 minutes and are tearing through Panama at will. Somehow it’s 1-0 but there should be plenty here to worry the USMNT ahead of next week’s Group C finale, which may be a battle to top the group. For someone who operates with such ferocious intensity and provides so many instructions, it is really extraordinary how Bielsa has managed to imbue this team so quickly with his particular brand of football.
