USA vs. Panama, Copa America 2024: Community player ratings

In a match that saw the American’s play down a man for over 70’ minutes thanks to a brutal decision by Tim Weah early in the match that tipped the field in Panama’s favor for the remainder of the contest it could be hard to judge the quality. Frankly, there was not much to be seen as the US seemed happy to concede possession throughout and they struggled greatly on the few occasions where they did have the ball. Three subs at halftime, including an injury substitution for starting goalkeeper Matt Turner further complicated the situation. A late goal to Panama means that the US will need to play for the win against Uruguay on Monday in hopes of advancing in the Copa America as Panama was happy to concede fouls to prevent the US from finding an equalizer.
