Actress Nayanthara turned 40 on Monday, November 18, and her husband Vignesh Shivan has a cute message for the 'lady superstar' to make her day special.
Taking to Instagram, Vignesh Shivan posted on his Story: "Happy Birthday My Uyir (Life)". Along with the text, the post displayed her Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale as the song, Kannaana Kanne, from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan plays.
He also wrote in the Story: "My respect for you is a million times more than the love I have for you! For who you are my Thangamey!"
The Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale, released on November 18 to mark her birthday. It show her journey from her hometown, Thiruvalla, Kerala, before she entered Malayalam film industry and later became a south Indian superstar.
Recently, Nayanthara made headlines over the documentary after she posted an open letter. In the letter, she slammed actor Dhanush for filing a Rs 10 crore lawsuit for using a three-second behind-the-scene visual from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. The movie was produced by Dhanush.
She accused Dhanush of harbouring vengeance against her and pointed out that she is a self-made woman with no links in Kollywood unlike him. Pointing out that it has been around 10 years since the release of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, Nayanthara said it's a long time for someone to continue being vile.
Meanwhile, an old resurfaced video showed Dhanush revealing that Nayanthara agreed to act in Local Boys song in the movie, Ethir Neechal, for free. In an interview, Dhanush says Nayanthara is a friend and didn't take money."We just asked her to come on board, she said, 'You are my friend, I won't take money from you.' She came and did it for free," he added.
