Europa League draw live as West Ham and Liverpool in quarter-finals
The UEFA Europa League has reached the quarter-final stage and West Ham are in the hat - or pot to put it more exactly - for the last eight. the Hammers thumped German side Freiburg 5-0 on Thursday night to secure their place in the lst eight - 6-1 on aggregate.
They will not be the only Premier League side in Friday's quarter-final draw. Liverpool are also in there having smashed Sparta Prague 11-2 on aggregate in their last-16 clash.
Brighton, however, went out. They could not overturn the 4-0 deficit against Roma from the first leg, with Danny Welbeck's goal being the only goal of the game in the second leg at the Amex Stadium on Thursday.
David Moyes' side will be hoping to avoid Liverpool, and the likes of Roma and Bayer Leverkusen in the last eight. You can follow live updates from Nyon in Switzerland right here.

The Hammers will not want to be paired with the Premier League high-flyers, with Jurgen Klopp's men the favourites to win the whole thing in May.

The best case scenario for the Hammers in today's draw is probably Benfica or Marseille.
Marseille are seventh in Ligue Un and while Benfica are second in the Primeira Liga, they were recently thumped 5-0 by Porto.

Yes, it is an open draw. There are no seedings and no country protection, so clubs can face opposition from the same national association and teams they previously came up against in the group stage.
This means that West Ham can face Liverpool...which would probably be the nightmare scenario for the Hammers.

The quarter-final draw today will take place after the quarter-final draw for the Champions League.
It will be held at UEFA HQ in Nyon, Switzerland, with the spectacle due to take place from midday UK time.
Of course, there will be plenty of dialogue before the draw, you can guarantee some montages, so we might not see any real action until at least 12.15pm.
