Welcome to football.london's live coverage of West Ham United vs Arsenal as the Gunners look to reach another cup quarter-final under Mikel Arteta. The Hammers meanwhile are reeling from their Premier League defeat at home to Everton whilst Arsenal secured a big 5-0 win over Sheffield United.

Mikel Arteta made several changes ahead of the game, six in fact, with Fabio Vieira, Aaron Ramsdale, Reiss Nelson, Leandro Trossard, Jorginho and Gabriel Magalhaes all coming in. However there was some bad news.

Emile Smith Rowe missed out on the squad entirely with a knee issue. Declan Rice is on the bench and could feature against his former side, as is Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.

Ben White gave the Gunners the worst possible start as he headed into his own net.

Tom Canton is at the London Stadium to bring all the build-up, match coverage and reaction. Updates to follow.

Player ratings

Aaron Ramsdale needed a big performance tonight but failed to really convince when playing out from the back. Poor from Zinchenko, Gabriel and too many others to name. Kiwior and Nelson were rare bright sparks.

Why there is no VAR at tonight's game

The Carabao Cup fourth round is well underway with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United among the Premier League heavyweights in action. Just three rounds are between the remaining 14 teams and the final at Wembley with that clash set to take place on Sunday, February 25, 2024.

Holders Man United face a repeat of last season's final with Newcastle United visiting Old Trafford. Chelsea are also at home as they welcome Blackburn Rovers to Stamford Bridge with Arsenal and Liverpool facing trips to West Ham and Bournemouth, respectively.
