Xavi Simons says 'one day' he will reveal exactly why he left Barcelona
Xavi Simons has insisted he will one day reveal exactly why he decided to leave Barcelona to move to PSG .
The La Masia graduate was said to have “cried all week” after departing and his camp have previously insisted the move was “not a question of money.”
Simons has since been linked with a return to Barca on several occasions, although that talk has gone quiet again this summer, and he had the following to say when asked about his exit.
“I’m a boy who works every day to achieve my dreams. People may have an opinion that they have been told. What I can say is that everything they say is not true,” he told reporters.
“One day I will talk about everything that happened. I have a lot of people who support me and bet on me and that is what I am left with.”
“People can talk and say what they want. It doesn’t matter to me. I know the dreams I have and I’m going to achieve them. I want to take the national team to the top.”
The former Barca star is set to clarify his future after his Euro 2024 campaign with the Netherlands was ended at the semi-final stage by England on Wednesday,
