BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Sophomore Vera Sjöberg of the Boston University women's track & field team was named the Patriot League female track athlete of the week, the league announced Tuesday.   Sjöberg broke the school record in the 1500m with a time of 4:13.77 at the Wake Forest Invitational. The previous record was set by Jennifer Lancot in 4:14.25 and stood since 1991. This marks Sjöberg's second school record performance after setting one in the indoor season in the 1000m.   The Stockholm, Sweden, native's time leads the Patriot League by over eight seconds. She is also ranked 22nd in the NCAA East Region and 29th in the entire NCAA. Heading into the closing weeks of the season, she should qualify for the NCAA East Regionals in the event with her time.   Receiving an honorable mention for field athlete of the week was sophomore Ellie Roan. She threw for 58.25m (191' 1") in the hammer and 14.27m (46' 10") in the shot put at the Michael Johnson Classic. Her hammer mark ranks second all-time at BU and second in the Patriot League while her shot put mark is fifth all-time for both the Terriers and the Patriot League.    BU will compete for one final weekend of the regular season at the Skyhawk Invitational at Stonehill.
