U.S. Figure Skating Announces 4D Motion as Official Supplier | U.S. ...

U.S. Figure Skating today announced its partnership with 4D Motion as an official supplier for the organization.  

4D Motion is the premier 3D motion capture system on the market for high performance athletes and coaches, and is used to collect data to help perfect skaters’ technique so they can achieve excellence and track progress over time.

“We are excited to partner with 4D Motion and introduce their state-of-the-art technology to our Team USA athletes, which will revolutionize training and maximize their potential,” U.S. Figure Skating Senior Director of Marketing and Sales Annie White said. “4D Motion’s commitment to excellence and precision makes them a perfect partner for U.S. Figure Skating.”

As part of the partnership, 4D Motion will provide high performance skaters with the Figure Skating Workload and Performance Management Module, a training tool which uses a single sensor to track biomechanic jump data such as number of rotations and the angular velocity of each jump. The module also has the ability to track improvement over time as well as fatigue levels throughout a training session.

4D Motion will also host informational sessions for athletes participating in various U.S. Figure Skating high performance training camps.
