AFG vs IRE, 3rd ODI Live Scorecard and Updates: Check out the scorecard and updates for the third ODI between Afghanistan and Ireland at Sharjah.

Afghanistan vs Ireland Live Scorecard and Updates:

Ireland have won the toss and opted to field first.

The final fifty-over fixture between Afghanistan and Ireland is set to take place in Sharjah. The Afghans will be looking to get the win and seal the series.

For Ireland, it will be a must-win game as they will look to tie the three-match ODI series. Interestingly, the previous fixture was abandoned due to rain.

Both sides will be eager to get some game time under their belt.

Ireland will look to improve on their bowling as they gave away some extra runs to add to their target which eventually cost them the game. There is experience, especially in the spin department with the likes of George Dockrell, and Andy McBrine who will look to take charge with the ball. Their pace attack has the likes of Mark Adair who will likely take the new ball and will be expected to strike early on.

Batting-wise, they have some quality with Andrew Balbirnie and skipper Paul Stirling opening with the bat. Harry Tector is also in good touch having scored 138 runs in the first ODI along with a quick 85 from the wicket-keeper batter Lorcan Tucker.

Afghanistan will remain the favourite to take home the win. They have a stellar batting unit with the opening batter, Rahmanullah Gurbaz in fine form scoring 121 off 117 in the first fixture. He was also supported by the fifties from Ibrahim Zadran and Hashmatullah Shahidi. Mohammad Nabi also looks to be in good nick scoring quickfire runs for the side.

Regarding their bowling, they are still missing their key bowler Rashid Khan. But they still have enough quality with the likes of Azmatullah Omarzai and Fazalhaq Farooqi leading the fast-bowling unit. In the spin department, the onus will be on the pair of Nabi and Noor Ahmad to give the side the important wickets.
