YELLOW CARD

63’

Al Fateh booking: Al-Hassan is shown a yellow card as he pulled back Otavio from making his run.

61’

Batna takes a tumble inside the box from a Konan challenge. Batna wants a VAR check and there is one. But after ample scrutiny, VAR stands with the referee’s decision and instructs the match to go on.

60’

Al Fateh sub: IN- Al-Fuhaid, Al-Hassan OUT-Bendebka, Petros

59’

Ronaldo seems to be in the mood. He gets the ball inside the box. He does a couple of stepovers and goes for a shot. But the effort is blocked. He wants that hat-trick.

55’ GOOALL! FAT 0-3 NAS - RONALDOOO!! AGAIN!!

Brozovic finds Ghareeb with a brilliant aerial through-ball as the latter timed his run well. Ghareeb sees Ronaldo in support and squares the ball to him as Rinne closed down on him. Ronaldo takes the ball and slots it inside the empty net with the simplest of finishes.

It is his second of the match.

YELLOW CARD

52’

Al Nassr booking: Brozovic sees the first yellow card of the evening for pulling down Zelarayan.

He is not happy and tries to argue his case but the referee stays firm.

50’

Otavio finds Mane with a cheeky flick. Mane’s first touch is heavy, which allows Petros to clear the ball. Al Nassr playing some beautiful football at the moment.

49’

Ghareeb shows amazing close-control to go on another amazing run. He plays a one-two with Mane, who does well to thread the ball to him in a tight space. Ghareeb eventually loses his footing and cannot take a shot.

46’

Denayer has been one of Al Fateh’s best players. Surprising to see him subbed-off at the start of the second-half unless it is an injury we are not aware of.

46’

Al Fateh subs: IN- Baattia, Al-Harbi OUT- Al-Zubaidi, Denayer

Second-half!

Stay tuned!

Live second-half action coming up post the half-time break. Stay tuned for all live updates from the match.

Half-time!

Goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane keep Al Nassr in a 2-0 lead against Al Fateh at the break.

40+3’

It is a poor header from Alawjami as he tries to clear a ball inside the box. Ronaldo almost gets to it but Denayer gets the ball away.

45+1’

It is a waste of a freekick from Al Fateh as the ball is delivered straight into the hands of Nawaf.

45’

Five minutes added at the end of the first-half.

45’

Al Fateh has a free-kick on the left touchline. Can they get one back before the break?

44’

Al Nassr is enjoying so much of the ball. Al Fateh looks dazed and does not know what to do. Half-time cannot come sooner for Bilic and his players.

41’

Suddenly it is all Al Nassr and it seems to be running away from the match.

38’ GOALL! FAT 0-2 NAS- RONALDOOO!

Al Ghanam delivers an accurate cross inside the box from the right and Ronaldo heads the ball inside the net for his first league goal of the season.

Ronaldo had all the time and space to pick out the net as the cross came in. That’s poor defending from Al Fateh.

37’

Tello looks to race past Al-Fatil but the defender shows heart to lunge at Tello and win the ball cleanly. It has come at a cost as he seems to have injured himself but it was more a case of an awkward landing. He should be fine to continue.

34’

A sloppy start from Al Fateh post the water break as it loses the ball cheaply. Mane almost gets to the ball but the ball is cleared just in time.

33’

The match resumes after a brief water break. Slaven Bilic was shouting instructions to his players during the break. Any guesses as to whe he was saying?

29’

Ronaldo allmost makes it 2-0 as he takes a shot at the near-post from inside the Al Fateh box. His effort is not on target.

27’ GOALL! FAT 0-1 NAS- MANE SCORES!

It all started with an exquisite flick from Ronaldo that set Mane through on goal. Mane then shows his class to dink the ball past Rinne to find the net.

26’ Rinne denies Ronaldo!

Mane does extremely well to get past his marker and find Ronaldo with a pullback from the right. Ronaldo goes for a first-time shot. The effort is powerful and on target, but Rinne makes an excellent save to deny Ronaldo.

23’ Ronaldo comes close!

You’d always bet in favour of Ronaldo when the ball is in the air. The Portuguese gets to the ball from a cross and tries to power it in the direction of the goal. But he has mistimed his header from close distance.

22’

Batna looks to get his head to a cross from the left flank, but Konan defends well to get the ball away from danger.

20’ Otavio hits side-netting!

Otavio comes closest to scoring in the match. He goes for a first-time shot from a cross delivered from the right. The ball rattles the side-netting.

19’

With the first-quarter of the match being played, Al Nassr has had the better chances and played the better football as expected. However, neither team has created any clear-cut chances.

17’

Ghareeb’s pace takes him first to a loose ball. He passes it short to Ronaldo. Ronaldo had support inside the box, but opts to go for the shot himself. The shot is blocked and Al Nassr has a corner.

15’

Al Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo with a shot from the left edge of the box. He catches it well, but it is not on target.

14’

Ghareeb with a talismanic run as he dances past challeneges. He goes for a shot but it is blocked at the edge of the box.

11’

Al Nassr loses ppossession cheaply and Al Fateh tries to start a counter with Petros. But he goes down, rather theatrically, from a challenge by Otavio.

8’

Al Fateh creates its first attack as Batna delivers a cross from the right flank. But, it was too heavy for anyone to get a head to.

7’

It would not have happened if Ronaldo had found the target. He was offside when Mane delivered a cross to him.

7’

Mane with another pinpoint delivery to Ronaldo inside the box. The Portuguese has time to take a touch and shoot, but sees his effort blocked.

5’

Chance- Mane delivers another cross from the left this time. He finds Otavio as the latter heads the ball towards goal, but cannot keep his effort on target. What a debut that would have been if he found the net.

2’

Al Nassr has started well. After enjoying early possession, it creates its first attack from the left. Mane gets past his marker and tries to find Ronaldo in the middle, but the Al Fateh defence gets the ball away.
