DAP stalwart Lim Kit Siang and PKR's Johari Abdul are among the politicians conferred with the Darjah Kebesaran Panglima Setia Mahkota, the second highest federal award which carries the "Tan Sri" title, in a list of 26 recipients which also includes the late PAS chief Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat who will be given a posthumous award.

They are among 839 individuals to be conferred federal awards, honours and medals in conjunction with the official birthday of Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah today.

Also receiving the “Tan Sri” title are Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak Abdul Rahman Sebli, Federal Court judge Nallini Patmanathan, and former Federal Court judge Mohd Zawawi Salleh.

The list of businessmen receiving the “Tan Sri” title are Engtex Group managing director Ng Hook, Maxim Global group managing director Gan Seong Liam, DPS Resources chairman Sow Chin Chuan, Yuwang Group executive chairman See Hong Cheen @ See Hong Chen, Battersea Power Station Holding Company Limited chairman Jaganath Derek Steven Sabapathy, DRB-Hicom group managing director Syed Faisal Albar Syed AR Albar, Perusahaan Sadur Timah Malaysia chairman Wee Hoe Soon @ Gooi Hoe Soon, Winfast Group of Companies managing director Chee Chan Yau @ Cheah Chan Yau, Ming Heng Motor group managing director Koh Chui Ming, Cergas Murni managing director Paul Latimer, Bermaz Auto executive chairman Yeoh Choon San, KK Land Group of Companies CEO Kong Hoi Chieng, and Twin Arrow Fertilizer Sdn Bhd managing director Lau Kuan Kam.

Others receiving the “Tan Sri” title are navy chief Admiral Abdul Rahman Ayob, army chief Gen Mohammad Ab Rahman, former ministers Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and Anifah Aman, and veteran singer-composer Ahmad Nawab.

Among those to receive the “Datuk” title are Manoj Kurup, who heads the prosecution division of the Attorney-General's Chambers' appeal and trial division, education director-general Pkharuddin Ghazali @ Mat Jali, treasury secretary-general Johan Mahmood Merican and singer DJ Dave.
