Mumbai airport observes Earth Hour 2023

MUMBAI: Non-essential lights at the airport lounge, retail outlets and on the airside we're turned off for an hour on Saturday as the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International airport (CSMIA) observed

Earth Hour is an initiative to encourage individuals, businesses and governments around the world to take accountability for their ecological footprint and engage in dialogue and resource exchange that provides real solutions to our environmental challenges.
The first Earth Hour event was held on 31 March 2007. WWF-Australia inspired Sydney-siders to show their support for climate action. More than 2.2 million individuals and 2,000 businesses turned their lights out for one hour in the first Earth Hour event.

, Multi-Level Car Park, The Adani Lounge located at T2 and Duty-free areas turned off all non-essential lights from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm. At the airside, the airport taxiway lights were also briefly turned off in support of the endeavour," the spokesperson said.
