Manchester United made it through to the Emirates FA Cup semi-finals with a brilliant 4-3 win over Liverpool.

The scintillating extra-time triumph had Old Trafford bouncing in a game for the ages and a just reward for knocking the Merseysiders out of the competition was a place in the draw, conducted by ex-England striker Ian Wright, live on ITV1.

Holders Manchester City, Chelsea and Championship side Coventry City were the other teams through.

United have been given a reunion with former striker Mark Robins, who mastermined Coventry's amazing victory at Wolves on Saturday.

The Championship side won the trophy in 1987 and Robins has great history in the tournament, not only scoring the only goal at Nottingham Forest in the tough third-round clash in 1990 but also the winner against Oldham Athletic in the semi-final, as Alex Ferguson lifted his first trophy as Reds boss.

The other tie will be between Chelsea and City, after they won against Leicester City and Newcastle United respectively.

"I think it's 50-50, always in every semi-final," said Erik ten Hag. "I have seen yesterday they are a very good team, Coventry City, They showed big mentality. It was a huge performance [at Wolves]. They play very good football so we have to play our best. But, if we play our best, we have a very good chance to win."
