Irfan Pathan is wondering if Jake Fraser-McGurk is a part of the Australian squad for the T20 World Cup after his blazing knock against MI in the IPL 2024 on April 27, Saturday. Fraser-McGurk continued his fine form in ongoing campaign after coming in as a replacement for Lung Ngidi and not playing the first few games. Fraser-McGurk hit his third fifty of the campaign to put the MI bowlers to the sword.

Pathan took tom Twitter to praise the youngster for his knock and was wondering if the youngster will be in the squad for the T20 World Cup. Fraser-McGurk scored 84 off just 27 balls to give DC a great platform for a big score.

Fraser-McGurk has made his debut for Australia but it was in the ODI format. He is yet to play T20Is for the Aussies.

How well did Fraser-McGurk perform against MI?

The Aussie youngster was in destructive mode from the get-go as he hit Luke Wood for 19 runs in the very first over. This was followed by a six and a boundary off Jasprit Bumrah as the MI star went for 18 runs in his first over in the match.

Fraser-McGurk continued his carnage against the MI bowlers and reached his fifty in 15 balls, equalling his own record this season. The Aussie batter would then hit Hardik Pandya for 20 runs in his first over and it looked like he was set for a hundred.

However, Piyush Chawla would ultimately get him out, but the damage was already done. Fraser-McGurk would get a standing ovation from the Delhi crowd as he had hit 11 boundaries and 6 sixes.
