Domingos Paciência, the vice-president of the National Association of Football Coaches (ANTF), expressed his congratulations to Abel Ferreira and emphasized the positive impact he has had on Portuguese football, following in the footsteps of other Portuguese coaches like Jorge Jesus.

Abel Ferreira’s record extends beyond Portugal. During his tenure in Brazil since the end of 2020, he has guided Palmeiras to eight notable titles, including Conmebol Libertadores, Campeonato Paulista, Brazilian Cup, Recopa Sul-Americana, Brazilian Championship, and Brazilian Super Cup.

Abel Ferreira’s success has made him the second most successful coach in Palmeiras history, trailing only Osvaldo Brandão in terms of titles won.
