CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO) - The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is welcoming two new K9s to their unit.

Kato and Conan have just completed K9 school and are now deployed to the Patrol Division of the Sheriff’s Office.

Kato is an 18-month-old Dutch Shepherd assigned to Deputy Jeff Pullen. A dual purpose K9, Kato is trained to detect narcotics, apprehend suspects, and track.

Meanwhile, Conan is an 18-month-old Belgian Malinois who is also trained as a dual purpose K9 in the same areas as Kato.
